How it works
Tap the mic
Choose "Add by voice" on your fridge and start talking. Pause whenever you like, and tap again to add more.
Say it your way
"Two liters of milk in the fridge and chicken for the freezer." Name as many items as you like, with amounts, where they go and when they expire.
Check and add
Fridgea lists what it heard. Untick anything you don't want, adjust the amount, storage or date, and add it all.

Talk like you normally would
No special phrases needed. "Bread, milk and eggs in the fridge" becomes three items. "Two kilos of potatoes on the shelf" keeps the amount and the place. Say "expires on Friday" and that date is used; otherwise Fridgea suggests a typical shelf life you can change before adding.
Your voice stays private
Apple's speech recognition turns your speech into text — on your iPhone when your device and language support it. Only that text is sent to Google's Gemini AI to work out the items. Fridgea never saves audio.
In your language
Voice input listens in the language you use Fridgea in. Apple doesn't offer dictation in Bulgarian or Belarusian yet, so there you speak English — the app tells you when that's the case.

Can I add several items at once?
Yes. Name as many as you like in one go — Fridgea splits them into separate items.
Do I need to say an expiry date?
No. If you don't, Fridgea suggests a typical shelf life for common foods. You can change any date before adding.
Is my voice recorded?
No. Fridgea never saves audio. Apple's speech recognition turns your speech into text — on your device when supported — and only the text is sent to Google's Gemini AI to work out the items.
Which languages work?
Voice input follows the language you use Fridgea in. Where Apple has no dictation for a language yet — Bulgarian and Belarusian today — you speak English instead.
Is voice input free?
It's part of Pro, and free users get a few tries.
