How it works

  1. Snap the receipt

Take a photo, or pick one from your photo library.

  2. Review the list

Fridgea reads the items and suggests quantity, storage and expiry for each. Edit or remove anything.

  3. Add it all

One tap puts everything in your fridge, sorted by what expires first.

Why it helps

  • A whole shopping trip logged in one go.
  • Works with the receipts you already get — no store account or loyalty card.
  • Fridgea doesn't keep the photo; it's only used to read the items.

Made for real receipts

Receipts are full of abbreviations and codes. Fridgea's AI reads them and turns them into clear items with sensible storage and dates — and you always see the list before anything is added.

Tips for a clean scan

Lay the receipt flat in good light and fit all the product lines in the frame. Fridgea is looking for the products; if it picks up anything else, delete it during review.

Questions, answered

Which stores does it work with?

Any clearly photographed printed grocery receipt. Fridgea reads the text, so it doesn't depend on a particular store.

Is my receipt photo stored?

No. The photo is sent to Google's Gemini AI to read the items and is never saved in Fridgea or your iCloud.

What if it gets an item wrong?

You review every item before adding: edit the name, quantity, storage or date, or remove it.

Is receipt scanning free?

It's part of Pro, and free users get a few scans to try it.
